The word teselli means ‘solace’ in the Turkish language. Kinder Soaps think it is a beautiful word to describe the purpose behind this soap’s formulation. Suitable for very troubled, inflamed or broken skin that seems to take ages to heal.
Description
This is the soap which Kinder Soaps originally released as a seasonal special for Christmas last year. The founder formulated this when she was feeling particularly introspective. This explains the name, and as it turns out, the combination of ingredients may be particularly comforting for the skin too.
This soap contains essential oils of frankincense (Boswellia carterii) and myrrh (Commiphora myrrha) which are more known to us as two of the three precious gifts that were supposedly offered to the baby Jesus by magi (wise men) in the biblical tale of Jesus’ birth. Earliest recorded usage of these plants in skincare have been found from as far back as 5000 years ago, including for the healing of wounds. Modern-day science is currently studying frankincense and myrrh as possible treatments for cancer. This mellow blend of scents is complemented with tamanu oil, which in itself is a remarkable ingredient in skincare, aiding with healing and pain relief when applied in sufficient amounts.
When Kinder Soaps first introduced Teselli, they were experimenting with a special cloth wrap for their soap which could possibly see Kinder Soaps abandoning plastic shrink-wrapping altogether. Characteristics and Usage Instructions
Use on: Face, body, hair.
Scent: Frankincense has a faint, orange and pine-like fragrance which isn’t overpowering at all, while myrrh also has a very understated scent. There is a touch of rose geranium in there too.
Lather: Rich and creamy when used directly on hair or bath puff/sponge. Lathers up quite nicely in the palm of your hand too.
